School, school, school! It is SO hard to continue going to school when I have to walk half a mile in the pouring rain just to get to the bus stop! It has been such a crazy week! School was school. I was preparing for a test and a paper so I spent a lot of time in the library. The coolest thing happened this week though! I GOT A JOB! I am so excited! I got a job making pizzas at this cute little pizza place a few blocks down from my house! I am so excited about it! Making money is going to be great! I get paid AUD$15 and I am going to be working 20-30 hours a week! Its fantastic!
The guy that owns the place is pretty cool. He is a younger guy and really driven. The only thing is, when he's stressed out, he gets SUPER wicked. And not in a good way. If there was anyone on this earth that is more of a wicked witch, I could not think of them. He yells, he cusses, he goes crazy. It's pretty frightening actually. But ultimately, he's a nice guy that just gets stressed super quickly. He doesn't really have a girl friend or too many friends because he works all the time, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. My saving grace was the other girl that works there, Kat. Unfortunately she is moving to Melbourne today and I am going to be left alone. The only good thing about this is that he trained me in the front as well as the back and told me that when he hires a new kid, I am going to be in charge and there will even be nights he leaves us alone in the store. I am excited to be able to slap some more managerial experience on my resume.
Other than that, this was a VERY uneventful week. I am having a tough time right now. Getting over this half way kind of area is hard. I have Easter break next week, which is great. I am taking a mini trip with my room mate and some of his friends to Frasier Island. It should be a great photo opportunity as well as an awesome time. I am excited to work more, go places, and just DO something. I miss do miss you all though. It is hard to be here in such a wonderful and lovely place without you. Maybe you should all just come here. :)
There's no place like home...
